Major Steven Salmon (Retired), Field Artillery

Commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant from the UW-Madison ROTC program in 1985, a 20 3/4 year Veteran, having served in Operation Desert Storm/Shield/Comfort. After serving active duty for 9.5 years, he continued his military service in the United States Army Reserve Forces in the 32nd Brigade stationed out of Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Steven was mobilized as an active duty reservist two separate times totaling 2.5 years in all in support of Operation Enduring Freedom after 911. He achieved 12 years of Active Duty and retired in March 2006.

Steven is an active participant of VFW Post 8637, where he currently holds the position of Junior Vice Commander and Assistant Quartermaster.
